Lost rules! Thank you so much for a great job on this show!

However, myself and a few other posters got "lost" on last weeks show. (Mostly us on the ABC board)Please help me/us understand two of the last few scenes. When Sawyer saw the child and walked away from the suitcase with 140k. Or was it 300k? Next scene, then Sawyer told Kate about his past and said he did a con for 6K. I understood that Sawyer became the man who killed his parents. But...

Well, I am sure you have seen the posts and theories about this scene, but myself and others did get "lost" there. If you have time please elaborate. Will we see more from the loanshark in a later episode or was this scene a flashback? Was this Sawyer as a child looking at the man that killed his parents? I could go on with questions from the other boards but I hope you have seen all of these post and can just help us (lamers) out with a tiny clarification from last week show!
