You've said that every writer writes their own episode entirely, but are there specific writers that are considered the consistancy checkers for certain characters?

I know that in my friend and I's collaberative comic there are characters that she made up and ones that I made up, and that although I write both sets, I tend to go to her and ask "Do you think this line is in character?" if I'm unsure if I'm deviating from the spirit of the character. Of course, sometimes I ask her that kind of question on the characters I've made up to make sure I haven't gotten too 'inside my own head' about it.

Do any of ya'll go through anything like that? With such a big team of writers it seems sort of inevitable to me. (Since I'm keeping screenwriting open as a career option at this juncture, I'm doubly curious.)
