... there seems to be quite a little heated debate about Charlie and his gun-slinger ways.

On one side, you have those that feel Charlie is a rogue hot shot... knowing exactly how to handle a gun and put away a baddie.
On the other side, you have those like me, who feel Charlie did what he did 'cause he felt he had to. Impulsive, yet deliberate. Probably the first he's had to fire a gun.

Which is it..... please? If I were to find that sweet Charlie is another William Bonney, it would be like watching my hopes and dreams scramble and scratch at the crumbling edge of sanity only to lose their grip on reality and plumet onto the rocks of dispair; there they lay crushed, left to the ebb and flow of the sea, finally being washed away by time into just faded memories. (that was fun)

Any help, even the slightest hint, as to Charlie's gun play would be greatly appreciated.
