View Full Version : So were The Others just going to sail away with Sun?
Get_A_Klugh 10-14-2006, 05:18 AM I have no clue whether or not The Others knew Sun was on Desmond's boat, when they boarded it - - although I'm leaning toward yes, since it's likely they were surveying the area beforehand.
But if they sent Colleen down to "talk some sense into" Sun, then what were their long-term plans for our Tokyo Rose?
Colleen stated she couldn't let Sun off the boat....so did that mean The Others were planning on kidnapping Sun and taking her back to Others Central? They obviously weren't going to just throw Sun overboard, since Colleen said she wouldn't allow Sun to leave the boat on her own.
I'm confused.
Automission 10-14-2006, 09:08 AM They would probably of taken her. Teach sayid and jin a lesson, that they shouldn't try to save jack and co. Or, they could use her as she has knowledge of natural remidies, remember season 1?
sheba 10-14-2006, 09:13 AM My guess is that they were simply after the boat its self. At first anyway. Sun being there would have been a bonus, if she hadn't shot Colleen.
Considering their interest in pregnant women, and their seemingly unending knowledge of our Lostaways, I am assuming they quite possibly know Sun is pregnant and want to have her for the same reasons (whatever they were) that they wanted Claire.
Save The Humans 10-14-2006, 09:58 AM I don't think They know Sun is pregnant--yet. Once They do, They might well decide to pay beach camp a visit after all!
LostFaith 10-14-2006, 10:32 AM I find it interesting that they apparently would have insisted on taking her, yet were trying to shoot her when they spotted her on the deck. Seems like they don't really care if anyone is taken alive or not.
IStoleCindy 10-14-2006, 10:48 AM I don't think they knew she was there. But it's surprisingly careless of them to send just one person down to look. I don't believe they know she's pregnant, and they simply thought she'd gone ashore with Jin and Sayid.
amathews99 10-14-2006, 10:51 AM I don't think they knew she was there. If I remember correctly, when Colleen came down, she was suprised to see the stove top turned on. Then Sun came out with a gun. Then when they looked down to check on Colleen, the rest of them saw Sun.

Chad_of_Neptune 10-14-2006, 11:36 AM I interpreted Colleen's remark as they weren't going to let her leave the boat _alive_. Obviously, concealing their identities and upholding the charade is of the highest importance, so putting one in Sun's ear would have been the best way to go about fixing that possible leak.

The Others probably only started gunnning for Sun AFTER they heard gunshots in the cabin. I don't think they knew anyone was onboard before that.

...
How is Sun a Tokyo Rose? She's... I mean Michael is the one who convinced people to fall into the Others hands, he's completely a Tokyo Rose. Charlie maybe. But Sun? What did she do to be branded a traitor?

Chad_of_Neptune 10-14-2006, 01:14 PM I'm guessing Dudepower is using this nickname because Sawyer previously did.
I believe it was when Sun was trying to get a pregnancy test, which Sawyer was in possession of.

Yep, that's exactly what I was referring to. :)
