Hey, I was wondering if you could answer me this. If Hurley was reading the flight manifest from the plane, wouldn't he know both Kate and Sawyers real name? (By the by, if you ever choose to reveal their names, can it PLEASE be the same name?)
I mean, Kate was a fugitive so she changed her name, but wouldn't the FBI have her real name? And Sawyer just took on the name of the scary man, that wasn't legal or anything either, so I doubt he could buy a ticket for a plane with the name "Sawyer" especially in this day and age. There would be need of passports, full names, birth certificates, so on so forth.


Is this another one of those things we're supposed to ignore and get dumb about? (i.e. ... facial hair)

thanks for the suggestion, but the character names are part of the grand scheme of lost and will be set accordingly.

the answer to the second question -- sawyer changed his name, so legally or illegally, that was the name he travelled under. as for kate, it's not unlikely that people already know her name -- the fact that we haven't told you what it is and it doesn't come up in conversation between the characters doesn't mean they don't know it (how often do people's last names come up in casual conversation?).
