Whadda heck guys? There's like a million people that were on the plane when it crashed, and none of them have cameras. *******? Don't you think like, 5/6's of the people would have them? I'm sure this is just the creators not bein' up on that like, ya know, but wouldn't it be lame if they got back and didn't have photographic prooooof????:mad:

I don't know how many adults carried cell phones with cameras in 2004, and I'm pretty sure that no-one puts their cameras in handbags. Maybe there are cameras in the luggage compartments of the fuselage, who knows? Anyway, they'd probably be too damaged by now.

Interesting thought. It never occurred to me, but I imagine anyone who had one would have used up their film within the first few days, while they were still focused on an early rescue.

Ok, suppose they did have cameras. What would they use them for? If they were not digital cameras, certainly the film would be destroyed being exposed to the heat of the island over time, batteries die, etc etc. I dont think this was overlooked by the writers, theres just no need for them.

Or maybe like the missing hairbrushes, they were 'removed' from the plane so that should anyone make it off the island they couldn't prove it...

Never really thought of that. Batteries could all be dead now too. Maybe Hurley used them up in his CD player.

I haven't seen any iPods either. Didn't Apple make an iPod on 2004?

I certainly carry my camera on board with my carry on with meds and stuff but I am sure it would not be the first thing I would want to save if I survived the crash. Still, some cameras are pretty tough and if anyone had a manual one, no need to worry about batteries to keep it going. Even if the film was somewhat damaged, some images could survive. I wonder if the Others have cameras? They have TV sets, computers and monitors as well as walkie-talkies and a really weird intracom set up.

I guess when they first wrote this they never thought they would have to explain all this stuff three years later...

Would the electronics objects work again after a crash like that? It's so fragile...
Ok I know human beings are also fragile, and over 40 of them survived... but that's another story...

No cameras from 'the plane' was brought up a longtime ago.
I had thought the cameras and hairbrushes (DNA) would make good identifing debris floating to the surface of an unrecoverable plane crash.
Now there is another reason What would Desmond do if he say a picture of Libby on 'the island'
Where would we be story wise if Des and his hatch buddy snapped some photos. Sayid and maybe even Kate may have recognized him. If he was indeed he was one of Sams commanders

I think anyone with a camera would take pictures. They'd probably use up the film within the first few days. Many types of cameras don't need batteries. Sawyer would have a bunch in his stash. Personally, I would have taken pictures to identify the dead. I would also take pictures to have for the future law suit. Remember in the first few hours and/or days, they had hopes of rescue. Vacationers carry film in the carry-on luggage because the xray machines damage it.

Although I think people have the cameras and use the cameras, it is not part of the plot, so we don't see it happen.
