During the flashback scenes in which Sayid is becoming a "communications specialist" the characters begin speaking in a language native to Iraq and then simply switch over to speaking English. I realize that Sayid speaks English very well because he uses it with the other Lost characters. However, why would he use English when speaking to other characters in Iraq? Isn't that a break from the show's usual practice of characters speaking to each other in their native tongue and using subtitles for the audience? *
