Carlton,

I'm a total Lost fan! Hey, is there any possibility of offering a suggestion for including something in an upcoming episode? I happen to love the poetry of Robert Burns, who was the quintessencial Scottish poet. He often wrote about the pristine beauty of unspoiled nature, and talked about the brutality of "tyrannic man's dominion" over the earth, which is really amazing, since he was writing this stuff in the late 1700s - way ahead of his time, I'd say.

Anyway, it seems to me that Robert Burns' work would dovetail very nicely into where I think Lost is heading: the idea of spoiled nature, of a love of the beauty of the wild, and of course, it has a Scottish influence, too, which there's a bit of in Lost. So my suggestion would be to perhaps include a small passing reference to Burns - just to add a little extra touch of class to what is already a very classy and wonderful script. And of course, if this is too forward or untoward, then don't worry about it, and my apologies.
