I won't ask who dies, but I'm very curious as to the thinking and process behind it.* How did the death come about and how did the writers decide who it would be?* Was the character slated to die from the beginning?* Does the actor want to leave the show and the death is a way to accomdate his wish?* Did you toss the names in a hat and pick the unlucky character and then write the story?* How?

I hate the idea that one of the characters, so I'm really trying to wrap my head around the idea that this is going to be good for the show and I would like to understand it more.* Thanks!* :)

it was more of a put all the names in a dartboard thing...

...you know, it all evolves naturally out of the needs of the show - we have our plans and designs for the big picture, but the show is on its own course of growth and development. we knew we needed to have a fatality to drive home the seriousness of the castaways' situation - and had some characters in mind - and then made our decision based on how the relationships/stiroes have played out over the season.

i know that seems vague, but that's the best i can describe it.

thanks!
