In the Pilate episode after she hears the smoke monster for the first time Rose says that it sounds familiar, then someone asks her where she is from and she says Brooklyn. I live in Brooklyn and must say that the noise that smokey makes sounds an awful alot like a taxi cab when it is printing a receipt. Did the sound guys use a cab receipt printer to make the sound effect, and does it have any significance?
