In all the talk about time paradoxes (re: Charlie, Desmond) and Naomi's lies (about the freighter)... what about the possibility that Charlie's communication with Penny in TTLG -- where she doesn't know anything about a boat -- is a paradox, where she hasn't YET began a boat-search for Desmond, but Charlie's message gives her reason to start?

This wouldn't necessarily make Naomi's team any less threatening, as it seems they're likely to be. A search could have been started by Penny, but been co-opted by any number of the off-island players.

I know it's a little far-fetched, but seems just as possible as Desmond's actions altering reality enough for Charlie to be living & not get on flight 815, discussed elsewhere. I'm thinking that the more this story delves into time-bending plots, it's going to get a lot harder for us all to guess proper cause and effect on events.

That was one of the cornerstones for my How Jack might find the island theory (http://www.thefuselage.com/Threaded/showthread.php?t=84002), over in GT. It got off-track, like all threads do, but still think it's a viable theory. I've not figured out how to relate it to TPTB's assertion that the Arctic team detected the anomaly when Des blew the failsafe, but like you said - if there's a time paradox, who knows?

Season 4 is probably going to end with the Oceanic 6 Leaving the Island,
Season 5 will be about the remaining survivors and the Oceanic 6 trying to get back
Season 6 will start with the Oceanic 6 finding the island again in order to stop a major catostrophy....and will end with Penny and the Find815 rescuing all who decide to leave.

I had this idea too but then I realised that Jacks Flashforward was about 3 years in the future (I think) either way it was plenty time for him to grow a beard. My point is that it has taken 3 series just to get to 90 days on the island so season 6 might only be mid 2005. Of course the time on the island could be different to that in the real world if you believe the time theories.
