42 was the number on the helicopter. 4 people on the Helicopter. did anyone see any other numbers?

I had a discussion about the number 42 last episode. No one seemed to like my idea. My thing was that, the others were screaming about 7 dead and then we here about the oceanic 6which equals 42 and then the Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy connection. Anyway I didn't catch any other numbers but consider this 4 plus 2 = 6 Maybe oceanic 6?

Could be, deannek! I didn't think of the 4 and 2. The Hitchhiker's 42 has been discussed on the 'Lage ad nauseum but I would imagine that you can find the threads.

Actually, there was a 15 in the dead grandson's bedroom. It was on a poster on the wall.

Sadly, I don't catch most of the numbers the first time around. I have to watch a second & third time for numbers or I miss some. I hate to do that!!

those numbers were not what you think they are. they are the "numbers" from the island. 8 and 42. The letters also correspond to numbers 15 and 16, numbers of the letters in the alphabit. And there were 4 people on the chopper.

That website entry on that chopper that you cite has to be something the producers set up, because if you go to that airport data site, you see that the picture of the chopper is a picture of the chopper on the island when they crest that hill and discover that Lapidus did land it ok. There is even a credit below the picture that says ABC.

It's all a set up. Just like the episodes that have 1-877 or 1-800 numbers in them. If you call them, they work, and they are for what they say they are on the show. I believe the last one was a number to hear a recording saying that Oceanic 815 was confirmed down and passengers were dead. They are very elaborate because they know that there are a lot of ***Mod edited*** out there that actually call numbers they see on fake tv shows. I am sure that the registration number is real, but it was made "real" for the show. They requested that tail number and made it perfectly visible for all the

Certainly a similar colour scheme (http://gallery.lost-media.com/displayimage-1368-566.html), Dino, and that could be an Oceanic logo on the window of the sliding door. Can't possibly tell for sure though.

That website looks like a place where aircraft fanatics post pictures. Some fan of the show who is also an aircraft nut just posted that screencap. I don't think the producers had anything to do with it.

Is the website for Rotor Craft Service Center, the listed owner for this aircraft. I dialed the number and got a live person answering as "rotor craft". Don't know what this means other than...the listed owner appears to be a real company.

I really didnt see any reason why they would change the heli tail number. Only makes loyal fans like us dwell over every little bits of info.
