No one seemed to like my idea. My thing was that, the others were screaming about 7 dead and then we here about the oceanic 6which equals 42 and then the Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy connection. Anyway I didn't catch any other numbers but consider this 4 plus 2 = 6 Maybe oceanic 6? Guinevere 02-08-2008, 12:47 AM Cool find, guys! I got so caught up, I forgot to look for the numbers! I know, I know, my 'Lage membership's about to be revoked. ;) 100% I had a discussion about the number 42 last episode. No one seemed to like my idea. The Hitchhiker's 42 has been discussed on the 'Lage ad nauseum but I would imagine that you can find the threads. james_sawyer 02-08-2008, 01:23 AM Actually, there was a 15 in the dead grandson's bedroom. It was on a poster on the wall. LostApril 02-08-2008, 01:28 AM Sadly, I don't catch most of the numbers the first time around. I have to watch a second & third time for numbers or I miss some. I hate to do that!! Please post them on the numbers thread in my siggy. It would be a world of help to us numbers junkies! Thanks!! novagator 02-08-2008, 09:05 PM They didn't even bother to change or hide the FAA registration number. So are the freighter folk from the US totally? Here is the real helo info from the FAA from the N842m FAA Registry N-Number Inquiry Results N842M is Assigned Aircraft Description Serial Number 61-0763 Type Registration Corporation Manufacturer Name GARLICK HELICOPTERS INC Certificate Issue Date 06/15/2007 Model UH-1B Status Valid Type Aircraft Rotorcraft Type Engine Turbo-Shaft Pending Number Change None Dealer No Date Change Authorized None Mode S Code 52704132 MFR Year 1961 Fractional Owner NO Registered Owner Name ROTORCRAFT SERVICE CENTER LLC Street PO BOX 1766 City HAMILTON State MONTANA Zip Code 59840-1766 County RAVALLI Country UNITED STATES Airworthiness Engine Manufacturer LYCOMING Classification Restricted Engine Model T53-L-13 Category Agriculture and Pest Control Aerial Surveying Forest Patrolling Carriage of Cargo Other A/W Date 02/21/2001 Roland 02-09-2008, 01:15 AM The helicopter actually contained 4 of the numbers, in a way. It had 8 and 42. It also had M and N, which are the 15th and 16th letters of the alphabet. paclives777 02-09-2008, 01:22 AM and it carried 4 people. which is the final number. paclives777 02-09-2008, 01:40 AM those numbers were not what you think they are. they are the "numbers" from the island. 8 and 42. The letters also correspond to numbers 15 and 16, numbers of the letters in the alphabit. And there were 4 people on the chopper. novagator 02-09-2008, 07:22 AM those numbers were not what you think they are. they are the "numbers" from the island. 8 and 42. And there were 4 people on the chopper. good catch, but they also are the real faa registration for that Huey too. http://www.airport-data.com/aircraft/N842M.html also found this thread when I google the tail number http://forum.lostpedia.com/showthread.php?t=9707 Colonel Corn 02-09-2008, 09:35 AM That website entry on that chopper that you cite has to be something the producers set up, because if you go to that airport data site, you see that the picture of the chopper is a picture of the chopper on the island when they crest that hill and discover that Lapidus did land it ok. There is even a credit below the picture that says ABC. paclives777 02-09-2008, 01:03 PM It's all a set up. Just like the episodes that have 1-877 or 1-800 numbers in them. If you call them, they work, and they are for what they say they are on the show. I believe the last one was a number to hear a recording saying that Oceanic 815 was confirmed down and passengers were dead. They are very elaborate because they know that there are a lot of ***Mod edited*** out there that actually call numbers they see on fake tv shows. I am sure that the registration number is real, but it was made "real" for the show. They requested that tail number and made it perfectly visible for all the ***Mod edited*** out there who do their research. Dino 23F 02-09-2008, 03:15 PM anybody gonna mention that its a oceanic chopper? HookedlikeHeroine 02-09-2008, 05:59 PM Not quite.. There is still 23.. Michaud 02-12-2008, 10:46 AM Certainly a similar colour scheme (http://gallery.lost-media.com/displayimage-1368-566.html), Dino, and that could be an Oceanic logo on the window of the sliding door. Can't possibly tell for sure though. M avandelay 02-12-2008, 10:51 AM The helicopter actually contained 4 of the numbers, in a way. It had 8 and 42. It also had M and N, which are the 15th and 16th letters of the alphabet. That would be really cool, if it were true. 100% That website entry on that chopper that you cite has to be something the producers set up, because if you go to that airport data site, you see that the picture of the chopper is a picture of the chopper on the island when they crest that hill and discover that Lapidus did land it ok. There is even a credit below the picture that says ABC. That website looks like a place where aircraft fanatics post pictures. Some fan of the show who is also an aircraft nut just posted that screencap. I don't think the producers had anything to do with it. switzer 02-12-2008, 12:25 PM the letters M and N are the 13th and 14th letters of the alphabet...NOT 15th and 16th kendra1966 02-13-2008, 03:24 PM http://www.garlickhelicopters.com/index.html Is the website for Rotor Craft Service Center, the listed owner for this aircraft. I dialed the number and got a live person answering as "rotor craft". Don't know what this means other than...the listed owner appears to be a real company. i_wana_get_lost_with_starla 02-13-2008, 04:45 PM I really didnt see any reason why they would change the heli tail number. Only makes loyal fans like us dwell over every little bits of info. I love this show. "dude, you got some Arzt on you" |
