Maybe it is just me and it isn't something hidden... but last week's episode ended in handgranades... this one in horseshoes. Even if it isn't a clue, it made me chuckle.

The grenade was 2 episodes ago.

Can I ask why it made you chuckle? Am I missing something?

Close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades.

But I don't see what they would be trying to point out with that reference although it's a good observation.

I love it, slavemom!

LostLaura and Eight, it was a wink to the audience that the writers hven't forgotten Miles, they'll get back to him...

I love it too. "Close only counts in horseshoes in hand grenades." Thats how I always heard it. Could be be a reference to anything...like entry into the island/snowglobe. :) Off by even a fraction and you're screwed! ;)

This makes the most sense because since they spoke of Miles they don't need to wink at the audience that they haven't forgotten him.

Great connection, very cute.

I also liked the horseshoes because it is clearly one more game Hurley mastered at Santa Rosa (along with ping pong, Connect 4 and HORSE). Ha!

I *thought* it was a phrase but couldn't put my finger on it. Good catch.
