If this has been discussed, sorry, I didn't see it. But why on earth did Juliet go after Charlotte and Dan anyway? Harper (whom Juliet hates and does not trust) mysteriously appears and tells her Ben (whom Juliet hates and does not trust) wants her to go kill Charlotte and Dan before they kill everyone else. And Juliet goes off to do it! Why wouldn't she just say "screw it- you can get someone else or you can all die with me"? It makes me think she is still doing Ben's bidding, and that maybe the hanging out with the Losties is Ben's idea. Which would stink, since I like Juliet. Any other ideas as to why she would go after them?

she just needed confirmation...curiousity killed the cat so to speak...
Remember when she told Sayid in Confirmed Dead that either Ben is lying, or that the freighters were there to do harm to them...she just wanted to get confirmation

She thought they were going to release deadly gas and kill everyone. She went after them to stop them.

I think she still believes Ben to a certain extent, or at least she isn't quite sure he's wrong (although she does think he's a creep). Earlier in the season when Sayid asked Juliet why Ben would say the Boaties would come and kill them, she answered something like "Because Ben's a liar...or they really are trying to kill us."

Because that's the only information she had at the time and she acted on it.
When she got there and found out otherwise, she acted on her new information, believing Dan and Charlotte ahead of Ben.

I agree with above...
Harper was right about Ben (Goodwin got hurt) and Ben has been right about many things Juliet has seen. If he lied and got caught every time, then it would be an easy choice, but when someone is manipulative, it is hard to know which way is up. I think when Juliet said that Ben knew just how to get to her she meant that by sending Harper, he knew Juliet would respond in ultimately believeing her because she was right about Goodwin.
