Ok, I did a search and didn't find anything on this...

Something that just didn't make sense to me, was that if the commando freighties had to retrieve Ben to take him to Widmore or whomever, why would they risk injuring or even killing Ben with the whole Shock and Awe exercise? It just doesn't make sense.

Why risk injuring the person you are suppose to secure, UNLESS the commandos knew exactly where Ben was??

How could they know? Is this all an act?

I think they knew he'd be safely hidden; I was wondering, since he had the secret room with the steel door, a Panic Room, if you will, why didn't he just hide out in there? His making Danielle and Alex and Karl leave looks even more suspicious now....

I think at the point they attacked they already had Miles, who had hinted where Ben is.

The panic room wouldn't last forever, not a good place to go.
