Yeah I'd agree with that. The real question is...who was Kate talking to on the phone and waht did she do for Sawyer?

I agree that Sawyer must have asked Kate do something for him while they were still on island. That also means, they said their goodbyes and that Sawyer did stay behind willingly.

Maybe Cassie has a new identity for some reason.

What if she named Swayer? Maybe she had to get in touch with his daughter and EX. Even if she can't tell them the truth. His daughter would think she has a 1/2 brother out there. Which would cause a fmaily connection between Kate, Aaron and Cassidy. Causing them to be in touch.

I wonder if Kate's task for Sawyer was something Sawyer intended to be for Claire, for Aaron's benefit, but none of them wanted Jack to know? Sawyer met Christian Shepherd in Australia, and is the link between Sawyer, Jack, and Claire -- and now Aaron and Kate.

That's plausible, but I'd think Kate wouldn't want to create any legal link between Aaron and someone on the island, because that would open up questions as to Sawyer's whereabouts. But you could be right.

I bet Clementine is really adorable. I remember that picture of her, she was so cute.

You know I had forgotten about Cassie and Kate and Cassie and Sawyer thing. But now that I think about it why would she do something for Sawyer if she has been communicating with Cassie? As I'm now recalling Cassie got kinda screwed over by Sawyer and Kate knows of this (but not the fact it was Sawyer Cassie was talking about back in that FB). Didn't Kate tell Cassie if there was anything she could do for her to just say the word (after she helped Kate to see here mom in the diner). I would think Kate hates Sawyer now. But then again maybe Sawyer's dead now and she feels bad.

Personally, I'm certain that she was talking to Cassie (Cassidy? I can't remember). Well, as certain as I am of anything on this show.

To me, the most interesting question is whether Cassie knows that Kate is doing something for Sawyer. That would mean that Kate had to tell Cassie about Sawyer and the island.

I think the most likely answer is that Sawyer decided to stay behind to try to find Claire, and when he made that decision, he asked Kate, when she got back, to find his daughter and her mother, and to tell them that he's still alive, and that when he gets back he's going to take care of them. Since Kate can't leave CA, maybe Cassidy and Clementine made the trip out from Albuquerque for the visit, and were staying in a hotel.

In a realistic situation, she probably wouldn't have lied about the name. But did so, from a storytelling perspective, not to introduce the implications of that whole tangent yet, until we see more about Sawyer's development first. And it can be pretty well explained by the fact that for a long time, Kate has simply lied from course of habit.

I kind of have this secret wish to see Aaron and Clementine on a play date together. LOL. I think Clementine must be adorable... I remember how beautiful her eyes were in that picture Cassidy showed Sawyer.

Didn't Sawyer get some money but leave it all in a bank account for Clementine in a previous episode? I was always curious how she'd find out. Maybe Sawyer gives Kate the info to give to Cassidy to get into the bank account. Although that potentially may be a bad idea given the people involved...

Although the Cassidy/Clementine thing does seem to be the most logical conclusion, I'm kind of hoping it's something else that no one has guessed yet. :) I guess we'll find out in the season finale, if we're assuming that's when the O6 leave the island.

Well, according to what we know from the trial, the public thinks the only survivors were the O6, and since Sawyer isn't among them, the public thinks he's dead. Since Kate is passing Aaron off as hers and since she didn't know Sawyer prior to the flight, I don't think she can very well claim it is Sawyer's son.
