It seemed like Jack's FF's always happened when he went unconscious. Is it possible that he was actually jumping like Des was in "The Constant"?

Why would you dismiss this so quickly? Jack loses consciousness and there is a FF. I wonder if that is why they made Jack sick. It added nothing to the plot otherwise. You know Des was jumping because an otherwise health, conscious man was passing out, but with Jack, he is sick so passing out is not unusual. This way TPTB can covertly "jump" Jack.

Well whenever Desmond had his 'time-jumping' experience, their wasn't any "FF/FB music" that went with it. It just automatically switched over, Jack clearly had all the sound effects to say that it was a FF

I don't think he was. Jack didn't experience the symptoms that Des displayed, like the nose bleeding or that glassy eye look. Plus Jack also knew who Kate and rest were. Des didn't remember who Sayid was.

I didn't see any reason to think these were anything different than the FF we are familiar with. Maybe if you can find something more than unconciousness to back up the thought, people may be more willing to consider it?

So are people also jumping whenever they have FFs? Usually it zooms in on an eye... if they blink, is that also a shift like Desmond?

I don't mean to be harsh... its just taht, people seem to forget the DETAILS about that episode:

1, the shifiting caused a nosebleed
2, that bleed was related to imminent DEATH unless a constant was found
3, um, the constants... jack had "no idea" to find one, so what, if this is the same, was his constant?
4, Bernard did it, with chloroform... he didnt pass out or black out on his own. he was KNOCKED OUT.

People in this show cant just mind-travel willy nilly... it was demonstrated in Des's episode that it was a painful experience and very much life threatening. Nothing like Jack's FF.
