First off, I have to say that this is awesome.* A web site that the series creators both fostered and contribute to.* Kudo's to JJ, Fury, Damon, and all those others behind the scenes!* It makes me want to champion LOST even that much more.

My question is this.........when pitching the series idea to some executive somewhere......how much of the vision of LOST was already mapped out and how much is fill in the blanks?* I mean, you'd like LOST to run for a good 5-7 years, but do you have that much sketched out in your head when you sell the idea to the Networks?*

The reason that I ask is that I have seen promising series crap out after the first or second season because the premise was really only interesting for that long.* Being marooned on a desert Island could easily fall into that trap.

Basically, Damon and JJ took a fairly lame idea (surviviors on an island) and gave the nvironment some menace and mystery.* That was pretty much all it took to sell.* As far as how long the series will last... I guarantee you 99% of the shows that lasted for a long time never thought out their show beyond the first two seasons.* Don't believe all these stories about "show bibles."

This is by way of telling you that we have much figured out, but will be continuing to do so for the length and breath of the series.

I know its early in the game, but my confidence in the creative forces behind the show continue to grow. All of your track records speak for themselves and I have yet to be disappointed with LOST.
